Sunday

Sunday was lovely. I filled it with work and treats—with morning errand runs, walks in Greenwich Village and Central Park, a green juice from The Juice Press (Green Giant, a thick green drink that tasted fine but was too thick for me), new makeup, music, new healthy recipes for the week, and a renewed commitment to a healthy and full life for the year.

West Village

I love returning to the same place at different times, whether it's in different seasons or just different days, because I love to observe what I may have missed in previous visits. Amélie

I started by seeking out "Amélie," a French restaurant in the West Village, and ended up happening upon the Washington Arch and "Bisous, Ciao," a macaron shop, as well as mutiple shops and restaurants consistent with my theme, including Caudalie and L'Occitane. Closing the day with a raspberry macaron and "Amélie" (the movie) was perfect.

Color My World

The Saturday snowstorm kept me in for the entire day, but I more than made up for it on Sunday, when I went to West Village but ended up all over Lower Manhattan, and even aboard the Nostalgia Train. There was a lot to take in, and I'm looking forward to re-visiting some colorful buildings next weekend.

West Village

This time, instead of wandering a neighborhood and photographing highlights I discovered, I brought a guidebook, and walked where it suggested. Without it, I may not have seen the narrowest house in NYC or another "flatiron" building, or at least not in one trip.
