The Fall Windows at Bergdorf

A few books ago, I realized that Bergdorf Goodman might not only have holiday windows, but ones for the seasons as well. This weekend, I saw that this was to some extent true. While there aren't that many windows, some do express the magic of fall. And to me, they're classic New York.

This might just be worth making a tradition out of!

Fall Market

This was one of the best I've ever seen. Union Square was bursting with fall—with colorful vegetables and fruits, including pumpkins. I strolled through it for a while on Saturday, looking at all of the produce and the flowers, and taking in the season. Here's to the Union Square farmer's market, where I celebrated fall in full, cup of apple cider in hand.  I'm keeping my promise to enjoy this season to its fullest, because autumn in New York is really something.

Scenes from Carmel

Carmel (technically and officially, Carmel-by-the-Sea) was one of my favorite towns in the Bay Area. It has a main street that leads to leafy paths and fountains, and to white sands that meet the Pacific Ocean. It has beautiful art on buildings and on benches, and in its famous art galleries. That alone made quite the impression on this East Coaster.

West Village

I love returning to the same place at different times, whether it's in different seasons or just different days, because I love to observe what I may have missed in previous visits. Here, I saw more beauty in the West Village, which has such gorgeous architecture. To me, the neighborhood most confidently says "New York!"

From the Village to the River

There's always more to this City to discover. Last week, I found myself exploring sides of the Village that I hadn't seen, and entering Hudson River Park for what may have been the first time ever. It turns out, the park plays host to many summer-friendly events.

Highlights from the High Line

Because last week's post was a little flower-heavy, I decided to save these details from the High Line for today. The High Line is so lovely in the summer.
