I started by seeking out "Amélie," a French restaurant in the West Village, and ended up happening upon the Washington Arch and "Bisous, Ciao," a macaron shop, as well as mutiple shops and restaurants consistent with my theme, including Caudalie and L'Occitane. Closing the day with a raspberry macaron and "Amélie" (the movie) was perfect.
