End of the Month

This past month (a rainy one) saw me traveling east, west, and north, and even across state lines, spending time with friends and family. The weather notwithstanding, I confirmed where the best cookies in Manhattan can be found. Pondered over coffee cups and on trains. (Also decided which coffee shop felt most like New York.) Read a variety of little books and caught a movie. Ran, tried a new gym class, and challenged myself physically. Crossed items off my bucket list, eating fancy gelato, listening to live orchestral music, and doing yoga in parks. I'm looking forward to the coming month, for which I've already dreamed up some exciting plans!

End of the Month

This month was adventure-packed and I loved it that way. I explored neighborhoods and parks. Dined at new restaurants, cafes, and other eateries, and drank many lattes. Delighted in tulips and cherry blossoms. Went to two concerts and heard music all over the subway (and in parks too). Saw art on the streets. Visited museums. Crossed items off my bucket list. Made my home a little better. Made time for friends. Ran outside. Listened to the rain.

End of the Month

April was one of the most difficult months for me, but I'm choosing to remember the good moments, because there were so many. I went home to friends and family, read books I couldn't put down, walked up and down Manhattan, tried a variety of coffee shops, watched a movie with my first-ever stove-top popcorn, breakfasted out, admired Brooklyn, ran far along the Hudson, finally enjoyed the season we'd all been waiting for, and followed my inspiration.

End of the Month

Like the weather, March saw me all over the City. As the snow was falling and the sun was shining, I traveled north and south across the island, photographing the East Village and enjoying unique coffees, exploring Koreatown, listening to live music outside and in a Brooklyn church, zig-zagging through Little Italy, cooking with fewer guidelines and more inspiration, surrounding myself with books from Prospect Heights and Lincoln Center, strolling through Soho and the Village, and ultimately welcoming spring.

End of the Month

All in all, February was not a bad month. I played great music, listened to fantastic music, felt inspired by a documentary, began sprucing up my room, tried new recipes, read books, met up with a friend, ate some good take-out, and didn't let the weather stop me from knocking an item off my NYC bucket list. Now, let's see what March has to offer.

End of the Month

With all the days I was sick, this month was the not the best of starts to the year. However, I did still very much enjoy my birthday celebrations, my trip back home, and my time with friends and family. I'm looking forward to fully getting back into a routine in February!  (Maybe even with a new camera!)

End of the Month

November was full of solo adventures and good memories. To wit: a trip to the IFC. My first meaningful experience of the NYC Marathon in Brooklyn (where I was moved by the Achilles International runners, who I had seen in my 5K in April.) Coffee at 'shops and hot chocolate at home. A reading goal accomplished. A New York fall experienced. Good eats had alone and in company.

Another great month has flown by. If the stores and markets are any indication, we're deep into holiday season.
