That first picture is SO striking. What is that object?? And that lady walking next to it ... gosh. This sense of awe washes over me every time I look at it!
It's a cube-like sculpture on Broadway close to Wall St.. It's large, so that if people walk by, it looks like the cube is about to fall on them. Google tells me it's by an artist named Noguchi.
