Some scenes from a welcome day off. My walk led me from the Village to The Strand, and from Central Park to Cafe Lalo. Along the way, I realized what a good thing it is to have graduation -- to mark the end of an important period in your life, to acknowledge all the hard work, and to celebrate it. I miss that, but I am also grateful that we have an analogue for it at work every year. I also realized that the summer side of spring is showing, in the alliums, in the grass, and in the temperature. I realized too that I now associate jazz music with summer. There's so much to look forward to this season.
