I have waited a long time to photograph Riverside Park in the spring, and the chance finally came this past weekend. I spent several hours wandering the park, and walked up to Grant's Tomb, a National Historic Site that I hadn't been aware was located within the park. With it, the park's memorials suddenly fit together, and all the blooming flowers and trees suddenly feel more appropriate. I'll remember it as more than the site of my 5k.
