I always have my birthday to look forward to in January, and I can't say that it didn't impact my month in great ways, but I think this was one of the best months I can remember. I celebrated my birthday with loved ones and cake, in New York and in Boston. I started playing violin again and auditioned for a chamber music group. There were races to research, hot chocolate to drink, little luxuries to admire and purchase, and friends to meet. I can only hope that this is only the beginning of my best year yet.
